Barclay farms estate
This is principally made up of three working farms within close proximity to Oxford.
The Barclay Farms Estate was established in the mid-20th century as a model farm. Today it still operates across two thousand acres of land as a major agricultural enterprise, including a herd of over three hundred and fifty Red Deer! In the past, the Barclay Farms Estate was recognised as a leading specialist in arable farming and established a reputation for modern farming techniques and high productivity. In the 21st century, the management have continued the tradition of innovation and adaptation to meet the needs of the market. Today Barclay Farms Estate represents a truly multi-functional, diversified business model based on sustainable farming and strategic development of the estate’s property assets. Tenants can be assured of a professional and supportive relationship with the estate’s management team who recognise the needs and priorities of today’s business community.
The office premises are primarily located around Little Baldon, off the B4015 between Stadhampton and Nuneham Courtenay. The offices are well-spaced, offering privacy and independence. The site is attractively laid out with well-surfaced roads and extensive parking areas. The grounds are landscaped and maintained to exceptional standards creating an inspiring work environment for all seasons and an invaluable first impression for visiting customers and clients.
When the Estate was created, a substantial provision was made for the workers employed on the farms, in the form of staff cottages. There are a number of these substantial three-bedroom houses available for rent on the Estate. They are located to the south and west of Little Baldon, typically occupying tranquil positions overlooking open fields and woodlands.
